MICHIKA, ADAMAWA STATE – In a spectacular display of culture, loyalty, and collective resolve, the Michika Chiefdom witnessed a historic transformation on April 15, 2026, as Honourable Buba Shafani was formally invested with the prestigious traditional title of Sardauna.

In his first public address following the colorful ceremony, the newly turbaned chief extended a powerful message of appreciation, describing the event as more than a celebration—calling it a "powerful display of unity and the unbreakable spirit of the people of Michika and beyond."

Honourable Shafani began his remarks by expressing deep gratitude to the two figures who made the honor possible: His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Dr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and His Royal Majesty, Professor Bulus Luka Gadiga (Mbeге Ka Michika).

"For finding me worthy of this prestigious traditional title," Shafani said, "this honor will forever remain a symbol of trust, responsibility, and service to humanity."

The turbaning ceremony drew an extraordinary assembly of royal fathers, top political figures, respected business leaders, youth groups, and numerous organizations. According to Shafani, their massive show of support did not merely constitute attendance—"you made history."

Observers noted that the love and respect displayed toward the new Sardauna stands as a clear testimony to the strong bond between leadership and the people.

Looking ahead, Honourable Buba Shafani has made a firm commitment to work hand-in-hand with fellow council members of Michika Chiefdom to move the kingdom forward.

With unity, cooperation, and a shared vision, he pledged to contribute meaningfully toward the growth, peace, and development of Michika Chiefdom.

"This moment will forever remain a turning point—a call to greater service, stronger commitment, and impactful leadership," he stated.

Together We Rise

The new Sardauna closed his address with an inspiring rallying cry that echoed through the chiefdom:

"Together, We Rise. Together, We Build. Together, We Progress."

"Thank You All for Standing Strong!"

The event marks a new chapter for Michika Chiefdom, with all eyes now on Honourable Buba Shafani as he assumes his role as a catalyst for unity and development.
